I mentioned before that I got Adobe Photoshop Elements with my Wacom Bamboo Fun (A5) graphics tablet. Art Rage was also among the software that came with it and, of course, I had to try it out! It’s so much fun! It really does feel like real paint even if it is digital. Smear around with the paint, make it goo-ey or glittery or watercolour-ey. Pile it on in layers! Paint on smooth paper, coarse paper; there are a lot of options. =D It is nothing like Photoshop or PaintShop Pro or any other graphics program I have used.

My daughter really enjoys messing around with Art Rage and she has probably used it more than I have. I have so many projects to distract myself with as it is but I did manage to finish a painting. It kind of had it’s own life. I didn’t think about what I wanted to paint before-hand. I called it “Abendsonne” (Evening Sun) after it was done because that was what it felt like to me.

Thankyou both for stopping by!

LeVerne, if you like painting or drawing on the comp you should consider purchasing one, it’s so much fun! I use the pen nearly all the time now, instead of the mouse. For browsing, too. It takes a lot of strain off my arm since I’m moving it around more with the pen. It was starting to hurt after a longer session in PS or Max. I only use the mouse for games now since the pen doesn’t have a middle button which you need in the Sims 2 for rotating the camera etc.

Luv ya too, LeVerne!

Hey sweetie!
Love your blog! I think it feels great and I want a Wacom so bad! LOL Hubby is looking into getting me a tablet. :)

Thankyou, Kit! :) Hurry him up lol!

I got the Bamboo Fun in A5 size mainly because I couldn’t yet justify buying an Intuos in A5, since this is the first graphics tablet I have ever had and I needed to try it out first. It is the largest of the Bamboo series though, I thought the other ones would just be too small in A6 and this was expensive enough for a hobby as it is. I guess I’ll use it for another year or so then give it to my daughter and buy an Intuos in A5. I’d love one of those! :D
